The boys have had a pretty eventful week lately—packed with a visit to Park Strzelecki, a school field trip, a birthday party on a farm, and some heartfelt goodbyes at school. Since the official school year in Poland doesn’t end until the end of June, it felt like both their teachers and friends were truly going to miss them. The boys didn’t seem too bothered about not going back, though I don’t think they fully grasp the whole “goodbye” part just yet.
One of their classmates, Hugo, lives on a farm about 45 minutes from Tarnów, and when the birthday invite came, both boys were thrilled. They even picked out gifts for him themselves and were so excited for the big day. At the party, they got to meet the animals, play tug of war, and enjoy hours of outdoor fun.
Just a few days later, their school organized a field trip to Osada Słowiańska—a living history village where they got a hands-on look at what life was like a thousand years ago. It was a week full of memories, muddy shoes, and plenty of smiles.
