In just two days, Grayson lost both of his top teeth. For weeks we could see him wiggling them nonstop, but they just wouldn’t let go—until finally, they did. The first one popped out on Sunday morning while Sylwia and the boys were heading to the pool. By Tuesday afternoon, while fishing on Deep Lake, the second one made its exit too. Grayson had been waiting so patiently for the tooth fairy, and she didn’t disappoint—showing up not once, not twice, but three times (twice at Babcia’s and once at the condo). Easy money, sure, but it came with the price of a toothless grin… which didn’t stop him from smiling ear to ear. Now Damian is counting the days until it’s his turn to cash in.
Piotrek and his boys came out to the pool on Sunday, and together we squeezed every last drop out of summer. The kids splashed, raced, and laughed their way through the perfect weather. After a few hours, we packed up and headed to Lake Villa, where all the boys grabbed their fishing poles and set out on Deep Lake for one more adventure.
Monday marked the official last day of pool season. Normally it closes on Labor Day weekend, but thanks to the stretch of warm weather, they kept it open a bit longer. Since it was a Monday, the place was quiet and we practically had the pool to ourselves — the perfect way to wrap up the season. We’ve always loved spending time at the VV pool, and hopefully we can keep enjoying it whenever we’re back here for the summer.
