My grandma passed away on June 23rd, 2024, at the age of 90. She was such an important part of my life, and I will miss her deeply. I feel incredibly grateful that we were in Poland just days before her passing, and that Sylwia and I were able to be present for her funeral. It felt as though she waited for us to arrive so we could say our goodbyes.
She lived a long, full life—retiring in the States before eventually returning to Poland, where she spent her final years. In her early 80s, she slowly began to lose her short-term memory, which worsened over time, but she received loving care at my aunt’s condo during those later years. I’m thankful for all the special memories I was able to share with her.
Now she rests peacefully with my Grandpa in Grajewo.

After the funeral, our family gathered at Balton, a local restaurant in Grajewo, to honor Babcia’s life. It felt comforting to be together, remembering her with love.

RIP JADWIGA RYDZEWSKA 🙏🙏😇❤️. Beautiful Pictures and Precious Memories ‼️. Jadzia was always telling jokes and had a big Smile on her Face 🙏❤️😱. Even though she had some bad times in her Life but she survived by hard work and got Social Security in Poland which was a blessing (American Social Security) Miss you and Pray 🙏 for you 🙏🙏❤️😢😇
