This is where it all began for Sylwia back in 1980. She dug up a few old photos from her early years in Poland, before she crossed the ocean to the United States with her mom and sister in 1994. Photography wasn’t widely accessible back then, and it shows in the photos, which capture a very different time. Still, she feels fortunate to have a small collection of images that preserve those early memories.
